Meet John Dugas
Financial Planner, CFP®, RICP®, LUTCF®
John graduated Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Administration/Management Information Systems. John is the founder of Dugas & Associates and has been with Prudential Insurance Company of America since 2002, beginning his career as a financial advisor and then expanding his role to include financial planning. As a Financial Planner, John illustrates concepts and develops strategies for clients to provide them with information tailored to their specific needs and goals. During his youth John attained the rank of Eagle Scout and now integrates the motto “Be Prepared” into every client engagement. He has an earned industry award as well as internal company recognition., John is also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. The Million Dollar Round Table is a global membership of independent financial professionals.
John is the past Co-Chair of Prudential’s Field Advisory Council where he served along side with Prudential Advisors President, Brad Hearn. The Dugas & Associates tagline “Your money is not your wealth – your time is” was inspired by John’s family. He and his wife, Paulette, have two sons and a daughter and reside in Durango, Colorado where he enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking, hiking, reading, cooking, golfing, skiing, and Shotokan Karate.

PAULETTE DUGAS
Marketing Assistant to John Dugas
Paulette was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and has resided in Durango, CO with her husband, John and their three children, Julian, Ethan and Leila since 2015. She holds a degree in Education from the University of New Mexico and has almost two decades of experience servicing Prudential clients.
In her spare time, Paulette enjoys watching their oldest son, Julian, rock out on his drums at one of his gigs in Durango and the surrounding areas and their daughter, Leila, play guitar and sing at a local student showcase. Ethan provides constant enjoyment to her while sharing his school projects, various experience on student council and his dedication to Shotokan karate training.
She also enjoys training Shotokan Karate with her entire family and has earned her 1st degree Black Belt after years of hard, consistent training. Paulette’s passion is working out at her gym with her regular gym buddies.
Summer in Durango is her favorite time of year because there is so much to do and so much beauty! Some of her favorite Durango activities include Paddleboarding, hiking in our beautiful mountains and working in her yard on various landscaping endeavors. She also enjoys feeding the birds that visit her multiple bird feeders around her home. They love her!
Brooke McIntyre
Marketing Assistant to John Dugas
Brooke brings an operations and sales background and has worked in Real Estate and Medical Sales before her role as a member of the Dugas and Associates team. She is a dedicated problem solver with a propensity for customer service. After living in Los Angeles and Denver, she and her husband, who runs a non-profit youth center, along with two incredible children returned home to ABQ, NM in 2015. Brooke has a passion for MMA and yoga and enjoys watersports, spending time outdoors and traveling.
